This course is designed for the beginner rifle (AR platform) enthusiast. You will learn the basic handling skills for the AR platform, to include nomenclature, how to clear and safe an AR-15, disassembly and reassembly of the rifle, cleaning of your weapon system, and how to perform a functions check. We will discuss sling usage and how different styles of slings work most effectively. The hands-on training you’ll receive will give you the confidence and knowledge you will need to become comfortable and proficient with handling and understanding the operation of your current or future rifle.

• Safety Instructions: How to properly clear and safe an AR-15
• Rifle Parts and Operation: The disassembly and reassembly and functions check of the rifle 
• Field Stripping and weapons maintenance: Proper cleaning of your entire weapon system 
• Ammunition: .223 vs. 5.56
